When a Glaswegian guy walks in late with a woman then tells you he\u2019s late because she was putting his make up on for him, you know you\u2019re in for a fun night! \ud83d\ude02 He said, \u201cwould you like me to stand up to have a look at it?\u201d And I said \u201clet\u2019s do one better and get you on stage!\u201d Turns out he was tall, bald, very fit and really suited mascara! \ud83d\ude02 Also turns out, not only was he a gay scientist and a stand-up comedian, but his name was David, which when we were stood together on stage makes us \u2018Craig David!\u2019 \ud83d\ude02 It was one of these wee moments you couldn\u2019t have planned for in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Much like when you find an American woman called Eileen from Cincinnati sitting right in the front with her son, who was so enthusiastic that I nearly shouted \ud83c\udfb6Come on Eileen\ud83c\udfb6 to get us to dance together! Then there was the moment with a gay man from Johannesburg who was taking so long to come out, I actually thought he\u2019d popped back in! \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had Ian and Kerry originally from South London who I managed to persuade to come down from the back, right down to the front, which was just as exciting a move as their move to Peebles. Kerry was so posh that when she talked, her mouth didn\u2019t move – it was a minor miracle! Absolutely perfect teeth that all remained visible throughout every sentence! \ud83d\ude2c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had a woman who was a customer services manager for a posh tailors in Peebles, a whole row of people from Penicuik wi\u2019 a lassie fae Biggar, Ryan from \u2018upper Liberton\u2019 looking cool in his baseball cap with his wife holding on to him for dear life, a woman who was insistent that absolutely no one had come from up north \ud83d\ude02, a guy who at the end revealed he had a tiny little dog in his bag throughout the whole show \u2764\ufe0f and a gorgeous older couple who had only met recently and rather enticingly she told me she \u2018wasn\u2019t shy!\u2019 \ud83d\ude09 \ud83d\udc4f A big thanks to Ryan for being such a good sport and joining me for a dance off at the end! \ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n
