Kirkcaldy was bawdy and great fun! Quite suitably for Valentine’s Day, you could feel the love in the room – what a fun crowd! 👏
We had a man called Wayne who was suitably upbeat, which is just as well because the last thing we wanted to do was make Wayne sleep! 😂 Wayne lays floors for a living and I was hoping his company would be called ‘Wayne Layin’ but nae such luck. He was with his stunning wife who was an accountant, who was looking so suntanned and healthy, I just knew it had be ‘oot a bottle!’ 😂 👍
There was a man called Gareth up the back who was an electrical contractor from Methil whose company was called ‘Evenflow’ (which sounded like they supplied feminine hygiene products! 😂)
Gareth was with the lovely Leanne who lectured in Animal Care in Broxburn and I was hoping they had a couple of pals called Kat and Doug!
We had bonnie wee Jean in sky blue knitwear who I accidentally guessed used to be a nurse, smiley André all the way from Trinidad, Ian and John the gays from Edinburgh who said they knew me from CC Blooms, the lovely lesbians from Glenrothes, Paul and his posse of latecomers, a man who was big in Diageo, a woman who turned round to see who he was, and finally, Aussie Damien from Perth who had moved to Scotland for love (this happens a lot it seems ❤️) who was with Donna from Scone (as opposed to ‘Donna from Sconna’)
And we ended the show by getting Wayne the floor layer to join me on stage and literally take to the floor and show us his best dance moves which were so impressive! 🕺👏
What a lovely way to spend your Valentine’s Day! Next stop is Musselburgh, next Saturday at Lorreto Theatre – cannae wait! 🥳
