Stirling did a sterling job of making me feel welcome! I had a riot with that audience on Saturday night. 👍
We had Neil from Alloa, the tattooed, shaved head, personal trainer in the front, who said he used to be a personal trainer but now he’s a… personal trainer! 😂 Which got a bit confusing until we realised he used to do it in the gym and now does it online! Ah…
Neil was sitting with a guy who apparently I used to work with on the radio, who was so keen to be the life and soul of the party that, in the second half of the show he borrowed a woman’s fur coat and rosary beads to surprise me when I came back on! 😂 And surprise me, he did! 👏 But then I surprised him by trying the whole regalia on as well! It was ‘two fur the price of wan!’
There was a lovely granny called Morag who put her specs on to check that I was definitely gay 😂, Emma the hairdresser fae Raploch, her pal Isabel who is definitely not to be referred to as ‘Ishbel’ 😂, a demure looking woman with the best blow dry in town who I thought must come from Bridge of Allan and actually did come from Bridge of Allan, a bus driver from Edinburgh in the front called Colin, a woman from Nottingham who had the best accent ever and a man who had come all the way down from Inverness, (despite me having performed there last week!)
And of course, I just had to get Neil, the personal trainer up with me at the end for a comedy workout and a big dance off finale! Neil was pumped and ready and absolutely went for it! 👏 What a fun audience.
Can’t wait to do it all over it again this Friday/Saturday where we’ll be putting the life into Livingston! 🥳
