A big hand for Paisley! 👏 Not only did they put on a big fun Saturday night outdoor Halloween night, but they won ‘Town Of The Year!’ 👍.
So I swung into town for my show at Paisley Arts Centre last night and that Saturday crowd were well up for it!
The moment I sashayed on, to spot butch Matt (who quickly became known by his Sunday name ‘Mattress’ 😂) I knew we were in for a fun night!
We had two spare seats at the front, which I persuaded Amanda and Steve (who were right up the back) to come down and fill up, and Amanda, not only had the best blow dried hair of the night but she waltzed down those stairs like she was on ‘This Is Your Life!’ 😂
We had Richard the wizard from Lord Of The Rings with his long, white, flowing hair, a man who ‘outed’ himself, as being from Inverness, his wife who said she had done ‘everything’ for a living 😉, a great Greek girlie lesbian called Selene (which means ‘Goddess of the Moon’ apparently) Joe fae Johnstone, the most recognised man in the room cos he works ‘fur the Bru’, a couple fae the Jail who actually met there but thankfully not as inmates 😂, a woman from a place called England, Suzie Quattro in the front in a sleeveless T shirt and tight volcano-washed denim rock jeans, with her butch baldy hubby in white sannies, a couple in the front dressed immaculately who looked like they were loaded and finally…the highlight
of the night…
…Annemarie from Bothwell, who came in late, and so frustrated at trying to get a parking space that she just had to let off steam and tell us the WHOLE story! 😂 I thought being from Bothwell she was probably parking a Range Rover but it was more that she was goin’ roon in
circles. Annemarie’s hubby Paul eventually got a word in, and you got the impression that hudnae happened since 1990! 😂
Joking aside, they were such a fantastic audience, full of so many fun characters!
So if you fancy a comedy fix, the next stop is Peebles on the 29th November…
