Laughs at Loretto!

Well, last night‘s audience certainly put the muscle into Musselburgh!

I danced on to find a brilliant bearded bloke called Chris in a Hawaiian shirt, sitting right in the front, who said he’d once played his instrument for me at Brewhemia nightclub! 😂 I suddenly remembered a Birthday party I’d been to where he was playing his bass guitar and I had been chatting to 2 fun girls from Musselburgh. Turns out they were in the audience as well!

We had a posse in fae ‘the Pans’, a big butch baldy man in the front with his very sweet giggly wife, Luke and Lee the local gays, one of which had moved from Kilmarnock to Prestonpans for love, two lovely lesbians up the back (one of which I bizarrely guessed correctly was a Head Teacher based on her authoritative tone 😂) a brilliant woman up the back called Ashley with a belter of a voice, a nicely spoken woman called Gillian from Port Seaton, a lassie fae Castlemilk hiding way up the back, another fae Leven, a man from Portobello and a lady from Leith and a brilliant, funny guy up the back who was telling me that men from Musselburgh are known as ‘The Burgh Boys’ – who knew!

What a lovely audience and a great wee venue! 👏 We ended the night by getting Chris the bass player to join me on stage for a dance off and believe me it was 🎶all about the Bass 🎶 – he could absolutely shoogle with the best of them!

Next stop, I’m really excited about Glasgow International Comedy Festival at Òran Mór 13/14 March! 🥳
